The question of the book's authenticity does not merit removal from our blog or our shelves, but instead presents a teachable moment on publishing ethics and the blurred lines between fiction and nonfiction.Anne Lotito-Schuhhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09098339353936108405noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-130055764662002376.post-74982120743017575662011-12-01T12:44:38.573-05:002011-12-01T12:44:38.573-05:00Wow! I assumed that a narrator that complains about being whisked off to Hollywood to live the life of the rich and famous with her movie star father would be too difficult to relate to. I may have been projecting a bit here. In light of that, what I do think they connected to, or at least what drew them in, was the narrator's dramatization of her life, certainly the plot line about the boyfriend-stealing best friend, and the narrator's sense of injustice at almost everything happening to her. Many of the girls went on to read Sones' other books.Anne Lotito-Schuhhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09098339353936108405noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-130055764662002376.post-83416182053309773412010-10-19T11:36:58.818-04:002010-10-19T11:36:58.818-04:00This is from Melissa Jacobs Isreal and I thought p...This is from Melissa Jacobs Isreal and I thought posting it as a comment might make it easy to find for those looking :

Please check out this excellent online resource that consists of 8 units
that provides middle and high school students a deeper understanding of
September 11.
